A Little Luck in Every Cup: High Tide Coffee’s March Specialty Menu

March on the Southern California coast has a certain rhythm to it. Mornings start cool and quiet, the ocean air feels crisp, and the local coffee ritual? Well, that’s non-negotiable. Around San Clemente, Laguna Niguel, and Oceanside, mornings often begin with a walk, a surf check, or a quick meetup with friends before work.

And honestly, that’s exactly where a good coffee shop fits in.

At High Tide Coffee, March is the moment we lean into something playful. Seasonal flavors. A bit of Irish-inspired charm. Drinks that feel fresh but still grounded in what we love most, reliably great specialty coffee.

Our March Specialty Menu is here, and it’s a fun one.

The Pot O’ Gold (Yes, It’s as Good as It Sounds)

Let’s start with the drink people keep asking about.

The Pot O’ Gold might look bright and golden, but the flavor is warm and comforting. Turmeric adds that earthy glow, while organic almond sweetener and local honey bring balance. Espresso rounds everything out, and your choice of milk keeps it smooth.

The result? A latte that feels cozy but still energizing.

And here’s the thing about turmeric in coffee, it sounds unusual at first. But specialty coffee shops across Dana Point, Mission Viejo, and Laguna Hills have started embracing functional ingredients like this. Why? Because people want flavor and feel-good ingredients in the same cup.

This one checks both boxes.

The Thin Mint Cold Brew: A Little Nostalgia

Cold brew fans in Oceanside and Carlsbad tend to be loyal. Once someone finds a good one, they stick with it.

So we decided to make ours a little more fun this month.

Our Thin Mint Cold Brew starts with smooth, slow-steeped cold brew coffee. Then we add organic mint sweetener and a silky chocolate cold foam. Finally, a sprinkle of thin mint cookie crumbles on top.

It’s refreshing, slightly chocolatey, and just minty enough.

Is it dessert? Maybe a little.

But it still has that bold specialty coffee backbone locals expect from a proper coastal California coffee shop.

Matcha With a Coastal Twist

Matcha lovers already know the routine: when the matcha is good, you can taste it immediately.

Our Minty March Matcha starts with ceremonial grade matcha. Vibrant, grassy, and smooth. We blend it with a mint and cardamom organic sweetener, then finish it with your choice of milk.

And yes, the topping is playful.

Cereal marshmallows bring a little color and texture. It’s unexpected, but somehow it works. Specialty cafes in Aliso Viejo and Laguna Niguel have been experimenting with matcha flavors lately, but we wanted ours to keep that clean, balanced profile.

Matcha should still taste like matcha. That part matters.

Not Just Coffee: The Egg Salad Bowl

Coffee shops today are more than espresso bars. Around San Clemente and Oceanside, locals look for places where they can settle in, maybe answer a few emails, maybe meet a friend, maybe just relax.

That’s why we added something savory to the March lineup.

Our Egg Salad Bowl is made with house-prepared egg salad, pickled purple onions, crunchy cornichons, and small pieces of toasted sourdough. It’s simple, bright, and surprisingly satisfying.

Perfect alongside a latte or cold brew.

The Gathering Spot, Just Like Always

If you’ve spent time around coastal Orange County or North County San Diego, you know the coffee culture here runs deep. People care about quality beans, friendly service, and a place that feels welcoming.

That’s always been our focus at High Tide Coffee.

Whether someone stops by after a surf session in San Clemente, meets friends in Laguna Niguel, or grabs a quick coffee before exploring Oceanside, the goal stays the same: great coffee, good energy, and a space that feels like part of the neighborhood.
